While adept in both digital and film, Cat's preference lies in film photography. Shooting on a Canon Rebel X film camera and usually Kodak Portra 800 color film, she captures a dreamy sheen highlighting light and isolation in a range of documentary and still-life imagery.
Candid
Cat's favorite subject matter is people in life, often the people she loves the most, living their lives in their own minds, unaware of the camera immortalizing them.
Portrait
While Cat prefers candid she often works as a portrait photographer and is adept in posing and capturing people for gorgeous images that capture the essence of their personalities.
Black & White
Cat's first journey into black & white film paints a similar, but more dreary, romantic experience with the mix of the isolating experience of the city and nature alike.
Still Life
Cat's intimate interplay of light and dark appears even in the unending visage of her still lifes.
Landscape
Her most romantic tendencies come out in the meditative loneliness of her landscapes of natures and the metropolis. A duality that was the prominent theme of her film Meditations on Melancholy as well.
